Bidasoa Interpretation Centre
Hondarribia and Irun
The Bidasoa Interpretation Centre (CIB Irun) invites you to discover the natural, historical and strategic significance of the River Bidasoa. Its exhibitions give the visitor an insight into the local area’s biodiversity, including the local flora and fauna, as well as the river's importance as a communication route and a border.
The centre, run by the Bidasoa Txingudi Cross-Border Consortium, also highlights the fact that the Way of St. James passes through Irun and connects to the EuroVelo cycle route network. It organises cultural and educational activities all year round, making it an ideal place to learn, explore and engage with the area around the Bidasoa river.
