Paseo de la Senda (Senda Promenade)
Vitoria-Gasteiz
The Senda promenade is one of the most pleasant and iconic pedestrian routes in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Starting from the area around La Florida Park, the path winds its way through wooded areas, gardens, stately buildings such as Ajuria Enea – the official residence of the head of the Basque government – and cultural venues such as the Fine Arts Museum and the Armoury Museum.
Your first stop could be Prado Park, a spacious green space that’s ideal for relaxing, strolling under the trees or stopping for a break at its café. Those wishing to extend the route can continue on to the Basilica of San Prudencio in Armentia – a landmark of Álava’s Romanesque architecture – and its grounds, passing through the area around the Mendizorrotza Stadium, home to Deportivo Alavés football club.
