Aquarium
Donostia/San Sebastián
The Donostia/San Sebastián Aquarium combines aquariums with an oceanographic museum that showcases the Basque Country’s maritime history. Heritage artefacts and models illustrate the city’s fishing heritage, the great expeditions of its seafarers and the development of its shipbuilding industry. It has more than thirty aquariums, some devoted to the Cantabrian-Atlantic region and others to tropical ecosystems. One of the highlights is the Oceanarium, which features a 360° tunnel through which visitors can observe species from the Atlantic and the Cantabrian Sea, as well as several bull sharks.
Its offering combines education, heritage and nature, and is ideal for those who want to experience the sea from every angle.
